Well, this is blooming lovely isn't it? Actual music icon, Marty Wilde, teams up to make it a family Christmas for his first Christmas single ever. 3 generations of Wilde join in (Kim and Roxanne share vocal duties) on a double-A sided gift of a release. Everything about this momentous package is designed to remind you of different times, used as a way to help you power through the difficult times we find ourselves living in. Marty dives back to his childhood when the magic of Disney's Fantasia gave a war-wrecked Britain a glimmer of hope; meanwhile making this a double-A side single transports people back to days when we all gathered in Woolworths to peruse the latest vinyl releases and decide which ones would end up with a place in our record collection. Both songs are quite enchanting and put a little sparkle back into your holiday season...
  • Christmas Fantasia ~ with a gloriously lush textured score, fuelled by jingling percussion and majestic brassy pomp, the Wildes send out their message of love via layered harmonies and melodic charm. You can tell the trio are having a rollicking time singing this original composition and that sense of glee is contagious, wrapping around you like a hug from an old friend. The sterling production (bravo Brian Bennett of The Shadows) makes every moment an exhilarating treat; meanwhile, Roxanne's solo near the two minute mark is like a soothing Christmas lullaby - the icing on this already delicious cake...
  • Christmas All Over The World ~ flip your imaginary vinyl over to unveil this shimmering ode to peace and harmony in these divided times. Roxanne takes lead vocal and her singing is so sincere and optimistic that you actually believe in a better tomorrow. The combined voices of three generations are so blissful that it is like honey melting into hot chocolate. It is the musical equivalent of war stopping for a football match on Christmas Eve during WWI; something so inspired by the change of heart the holidays bring that you just know Santa had something to do with it. Play loud, play often and tell everyone you've ever met about it.
