Top Christmas EPs/Deluxe Editions of 2025

3 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!

Listen to songs from these amazing EPs/Deluxe Editions on my holiday playlist (Spotify)

My favourite EPs of 2025:
  • Iconique - Julibation: a late entry discovery for me this year, but one I've become rather smitten with. This very fabulous indeed LA based glam-disco trio have embraced all emotions of the season and wrapped them in opulent, dramatic and theatrical sounds that are more deliciously over the top than any Netflix Hot Frosty movie. Plus, finding a new band to love means I get to spend 2026 immersed in their back catalogue and any new sounds!
Favourite song? Only Christmas (Could Ever Hurt Like This)
  • Forest Blakk ~ I'm So Glad (It's Christmas Time): this EP is a lovely addition to any holiday music collection. Across six songs that demonstrate Mr Blakk's expressive range and eclectic style, you get the whole holiday experience. And because they are all original songs, there's something to as thrilling as unwrapping a gift on Christmas day in listening to this future favourite oldies.
Favourite song? Wake Up (It's Christmas Time)!
  • Emmelie de Forest ~ Kisses for Christmas: do not delete Emmelie de Forest because she has delved into some of her most magical holiday memories to craft her own EP of endlessly timeless seasonal songs called Kisses for Christmas. It is a delightful selection box of old school Hollywood style charm, the type of music that doesn't seem to age but just gets better each year you play it.
    Favourite song? Kisses for Christmas
  • Chris Mann ~ Santa, We're Ready: I love that Chris Mann seems to revisit the holidays every six years or so! In 2013, fresh from his slot on The Voice, he released his Home For Christmas opus and then followed it six years later with his very own Christmas Jukebox. He's back again with more new festive joy, all wrapped up in a glorious big band vibe to the music that uplifts, making spirits bright.
    Favourite song? Santa, We're Ready
  • Yannick Bovy ~ A Swinging Christmas: I've written about Yannick Bovy's Christmas crooning songs many times on this very day over the years. Last time I put pen to paper was just two years ago with his carming take on Happy New Year Old Friend. At the end of that review, I noted I really needed to experience A Swinging Christmas Live - well, sadly that hasn't happened but this live EP of songs was the next best thing (next best swing)!
Favourite song? If Only For Christmas Time
  • Evelyn Rose ~ Who Bought The Mistletoe? Evelyn takes radiant jazzy arrangements, making these new songs feel both timeless but exciting and new. She's charmingly witty, a natural melodic raconteur who delivers lyrics with nuanced insight. Across the 5 songs, Evelyn's band sound like they are having as much fun as she is - so kick up your heels because this will leave you feeling merry and bright all Yuletide long
Favourite song? Who Bought The Mistletoe
  • David Archuleta ~ My Only Wish: after gifting us with some earthly delights that felt like they were from pop heaven this year, David Archuleta is getting seasonal and rounding off a great 12 months from him with a brand new Christmas EP and tour. Looking ridiculously handsome, head Elf in charge of music continues with this Yuletide venture - filled with new songs, a peppy standard and some remastered takes on his classics.
Favourite song? Wish At The Top Of My List
My favourite Christmas albums (Deluxe Editions) of 2025:
  • Nicki French ~ Christmas Everywhere: Nicki celebrated the 8th anniversary of her A Very Nicki Christmas opus by expanding on it with some remixes, interim singles and five brand new songs to make your Yuletide gay. Nicki knows how to throw a jolly decent holiday party and the latest additions to her seasonal song list are just as infectious as the ones that are now your old favourites! Some great Gordon Pogoda compositions in here too. Hurrah!
    Favourite song: Christmas Everywhere
  • Zak Azoury ~ Christmas Love (Deluxe Edition): last Christmas, I gave Zak Azoury's Christmas Love my heart - and ended my review with a cheeky plea for him not to give it away but to revisit the most wonderful time of the year again with some extra songs for a deluxe version. He did so, adding 5 new songs for you to immerse yourself in, including an original song so steeped in Christmas cheer that it feels like it will be streaming annually from now until the little white smoke appears over the North Pole to announce a new Santa Claus.
    Favourite song: Christmas is Here
  • Kylie Minogue ~ Kylie Christmas (Fully Wrapped): Kylie understood the festive assignment. Relaunch her ten year old Kylie Christmas album with a new cover, four very different songs for your Christmas mood swings - and throw herself at the UK Christmas number one race with such gusto that it was hard not to get swept up in the joyous enthusiasm. It is all candy coated, peppermint swirl goodness - both visually and aurally with a range of glorious merchandise (and a pop up shop for you to purchase it from). All hail the Queen of Pop.
Favourite songs: XMAS, Hot In December, Office Party, This Time of Year
**Ghosts of Christmas past**
