33 DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS!!
Read about Bruno's latest single Vampire Bites here (myfizzypop)
I love a bit of Bruno Alexander I do. His pop music tackles all facets of human (and sometimes supernatural) emotions in a way that seems relatable and real. He adds to these effusive melodies and engaging vocals by creating pleasing and intriguing visuals to accompany his creations. If you are not completely seduced by his current single, Vampire Bites (see above for purchase info) because you are either dead or undead if it doesn't make you want to swirl mysteriously around the dancefloor. So even when he seems to be delivering impromptu versions of more seasonal fare, Bruno is beyond charming. He's done an intimate performance of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town on the YouTube - and even though it's less than two minutes long, it provides enough merriment and cheer to power you through to the big day. And let's face it, we could all use a little of that in our lives. Accompanied by a gleeful piano arrangement, Bruno gives radiant sincerity to the child like wonder of the lyrics. He sings in a way that doesn't mock or wink at the lyrics but that provides sage advice in the most endearing way. I love that there is an honesty to his vocal - no studio magic or trickery here, just a smooth, mellifluous rendition of this timeless melody. And even though not much happens in the video, Bruno is magnetic enough in his appeal to keep your attention from start to finish. Like delicious cream on top of a hot chocolate, Bruno has effortlessly conveyed the sentiments of the season and leaves you with a little glow bursting from your now-happy heart. We've got a good six months or so to cajole him into doing a proper festive EP or album for Christmas 2016 :) Now the only present more satisfying than that would be Bruno wrapped up under my tree :P Delightful!
