I'm all for songs celebrating the power of a woman - and it should come as no surprise that while Santa Claus gets all the credit it is Mrs Claus who makes sure the magic of Christmas happens. Mercifully for the first lady of the holidays, Tiffany Houghton and Tiffany Alvord have teamed up to sing her accomplishments on a brand new festive ditty, aptly titled Mrs Claus. "You think you know her but you don't at all" sing the two Tiffanys (Tiffanies?!) and they seek to introduce her via a radiant, finger click groove, clever insightful lyrics and a chorus as joyous as that feeling you get when you first switch on your Christmas tree lights (and they all work). The simmering, shimmering rhythms is punctuated by jingling bells and plucked strings, making it feel as festive as a snowflake dancing on the breeze; meanwhile Tiffany H and Tiffany A both give charming individual vocals that make them natural raconteurs of this story. When their voices combine, it is sheer magic and the song sparkles like the brightest star in the sky. Throw in a key change and a hook that you'll be singing all the live long day and this is an absolute winner - a new festive fave to add to your playlist for many seasons to come. Songs like this are what the words "sassy" and "delightful" were surely invented for so play loud, play often and succumb to the feeling of merry and bright it leaves you with.
