22 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!

I am so ready to step into Christmas with Elton John and Ed Sheeran via their feel-good new single, Merry Christmas. The two legendary singers bring together their combined might for creating a catchy hook, infuse it with their blended love of the festive season and manage to fill the song with every melodic ingredient for baking up a holiday hit known to human kind. Alongside lyrics of vivid Yuletide scenes, being with loved ones and romantic encounters, there are jingling bells, church like chimes, sleigh ride percussion and, why the hecky thump not, a children's choir. The words "that's too much" was clearly banned from the production of this euphoric tune and a mighty hurrah to that - it is meant to be over the top and a huge celebration of everything that is so brilliant about the most wonderful time of the year. Ed and Elton sound in mighty fine fettle, like they are having the time of their lives. And yes, when that choir of angels sing their song it is a ding-dong merrily on high endorphin boost that we all need right now. Joyful AND triumphant.
