This is the tenth holiday season that we've all been able to spin Chris Young's It Must Be Christmas album - and he's celebrating that anniversary in two ways. Firstly, by finally taking the show on the road with his inaugural acoustic Christmas tour; and secondly, by releasing a brand new original song - one that fits perfectly with the vibe of his now classic festive opus. Christmas Ain't Christmas is a rumination of missing the one you loved at the most coupley time of the year. Chris has always been an expressive musical raconteur, telling his tale with melodic finesse whilst an effusive guitar strums away alongside him. There's a natural melancholy to the nostalgic musings, yet the pulsing percussion and Chris' nuanced vocal gives you that small glimmer of hope. It's a charming sing-along chorus, one that will sound great at those live shows this year. And, just like times of old, there is a b-side to this new single. Silver Bells is delivered with a lovely laid back vibe - letting Chris savour every moment of singing such a classic song. Gently jingling bells shimmer alongside acoustic guitar; the stripped back nature of the production let every word and note sparkle like the brightest light on the tree. Play whenever you need a little break from the chaotic nature of a not so silent night.
