Ty Herndon & Klea Blackhurst - Christmas Without You

Ever since I discovered Christmas At Birdland 5 years ago (Klea Blackhurst, Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch's collaborative holiday album), I've loved following the alumni of that project on various other festive forays. Whether it be extra songs on a deluxe album from 2022 - or an increased focused on bringing other people into the fold (like Billy's partnership with Liam Forde on Holiday Season a couple years ago). This year, Klea teams up with country music superstar, Ty Herndon, on Christmas Without You. It's a sweet blend of not only cabaret style piano with jingling bells & acoustic country tinged guitar, but those two ever so charming voices singing of reflective romantic memories - reminding that love, actually, is all around at the most wonderful time of year. It is deliciously old school, like it has been taken from the sound stages of a long lost movie from the Golden age of Hollywood. They are both compelling raconteurs - and this all blends together like cream melting into the most tasty of hot chocolates. You'd be peppermint barking mad not to have this as a regular staple on your seasonal songlist - from now until the end of days!
