16 DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS!!
Stream The Holidays Are Here (Next Stop Is Christmas) here (Soundcloud)
Armand Deluxe describes himself as a "producer of pop and lover of life". He certainly creates music that gives you the sense of experiencing life in the most exhilarating way (any one who listened to Concrete Rose's Payback will know what I mean). His creation of new and vibrant seasonal tunes over the years has proved that he has an enduring and abiding love for the most wonderful time of the year, his epic compositions giving me THE FEELS from head to (mistle)toe. This year, he's teamed up with a mystery vocalist on the gratifying, feel good song The Holidays Are Here (Next Stop Is Christmas). Taken from his upcoming album Mistletoe and More Vodka (cover art above, out any day now) it's so fueled by joy, optimism and happiness that it could surely power Santa's sleigh to the north pole and back. A soulful piano ballad style intro sets the context for the song - warming, heartfelt vocals urge you to let you hair down and celebrate all that is magical and magnificent about Christmas. The message is clear - bad things happen all year round, sadly, so why not make sure you kick up your heals while you can?! Amen to that I say, and the music agrees as it jhuzzes into a vibrant horn-infused, rhythmic groove that's as addictive as that third egg nog on Christmas Eve. Jingle bells shimmy the tune into hand raising glory and it's a testament to Armand's talents as to how he's made it sound like an instant classic that's traversed the passages of time to gift us with it's giddy charms in 2015. The vocals truly are phenomenal and the singer is clearly feeling joyful AND triumphant with every note that she sings. Darlene Love realness at it's finest! It's every magnificent Christmas you've ever experienced and every glorious festive memory yet to happen all wrapped up in one beautiful bow. You'll be singing this one way into new year. Phenomenal!
