20 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!

Christmas is the season of giving - and Christmas music always gives me endless rewards; a genre that knows no musical snobbery and is just fuelled by a love of the holidays, emotion filled lyrics and a darn tootin' melody. It also gives me the gift of finding out about singers I hadn't previously discovered - and uncovering Brynn Elliott via her new festive song, Walking in The Snow, has proved to be a real treat. Delving into her discography and spinning songs like Might Not Like Me and Time Of Our Lives has added a sprightly new sound to my Spotify playlist that will keep me going well into new year. But it said song, Walking in The Snow which initially attracted my attention - and is equally likely to get played into the early winter months of 2020 (then every year after). The lyrics beautifully describe how the cleansing effect of snow and the strong allure of love can make the rest of the world fade away as you and your boo immerse yourself into a memory that will last as long as any iconic holiday movie scene. Brynn has a lovely expressive vocal, making each word linger and painting a vivid picture with the nuance in her voice. Her invitation of the titular refrain would be a request very hard to refuse - particularly when it is set to such an enchanting sing-along groove, powered by effusive guitar, jingling bells and dreamy backing vocals. And although it feels entirely festive, because it is not a Christmas song per-se it is one you are more than a-OK to enjoy as soon as the snow drifts in and until it starts to melt. File next to Sleigh Ride and Winter Wonderland
