Hurrah! Currently treading the boards as Matron Mama Morton in the UK tour of Chicago, Sinitta has found time to be good to us by unwrapping a brand new Christmas single. I Won't Be Lonely This Christmas is what I would call a 'bobby dazzler' of a festive romp - all shimmering dance-along grooves, swoon worthy girl group style harmonies and rousing blasts of horn that are as refreshing as dashing through the snow. Sinitta tells a tale of how rubbish Christmas was last year (ain't that the truth) but how she's embracing the merriment of a mistletotally brilliant December thanks to reuniting with her love. It is a sentiment we can all get on board with and the song has an excitement that is contagious, thanks to Miss Sinitta's exuberant vocal, that cascading piano and jingling bells infusing the music with a little festive magic. It all fills you with glad tidings of good cheer; a fun-fuelled party that (unlike some shin-digs from last year) won't make the news, but definitely deserves to put a little pep back into the charts.
